How do I provide you with artwork?
Electronically -- Click the upload link to transmit the file(s), including root file with all graphic files, printer and true type fonts. We appreciate receiving a pdf file or a fax of the artwork for output comparison.
Note: Please do not include special characters or spaces in file names.

*You may also upload files directly to our FTP site with an FTP Client available from download.com such as Fetch (Mac), Batch FTP (Win 2000) or Seagull FTP (Win). FTP Surfer (Win)
The settings should be entered as follows:
Host: local.metroprint.net
Username: leave blank
Password: leave blank

CD, DVD or zip disk -- With hard copy printout for comparison.

Camera ready -- 100% color (no screens) printed on white paper, actual size with crop marks and trim marks.

Will I be able to see a proof?
Yes, and we have a variety of proofs from which you can choose:

Laser: A B&W printout of your files, often sent via fax machine.
Color copy: Electronic output to color copy machine showing a resemblance of color separation.
PDF: Electronic file sent via email
Matchprint: 4-color proof made from negatives output from your file.
Blueline: Dylux proof of your negatives stripped for specific press.
Press proof: Check job at the press upon ink-up.

How do I place my order?
Talk with our helpful customer service representative or schedule an appointment with one of our Account Managers to discuss your printing project with them at your location or in our conference room where we have hundreds of swatch books filled with paper samples categorized by paper grade.

 

How much will it cost?
Click the quotes link and fill out the specifics of your printing project, or call and speak with one of our Account Managers.

 

How will you bill me?
We require 50% down to first-time customers when the printing order is placed and the balance when the printing job is completed. Thereafter, payment upon receipt is acceptable or we have credit applications available if you are interested in setting up a charge, net 30 account.

 

Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

 

What is the turn-around time?
Standard projects take from 5 to 7 working days. For shorter deadlines please contact your Account Manager.

 

Do you have samples for me to look at?
Highlighted on the walls throughout our office are award-winning designs and samples, as well as a variety of customers' printing projects. Displays in our conference room also show an array of printed items. If you have specific interests, please provide us with your paper and/or number of ink colors requested.

What are your business hours?
Metro Print is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am through 5:30pm, except on federal holidays. If you cannot make it during that time please call your printing consultant to arrange a time that will better suit your schedule.
